This catalogue was published on the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of Swatch Art Peace Hotel. Since it opened in 2011, the Swatch Art Peace Hotel has hosted more than 220 artists in its landmark heritage building on the Bund in Shanghai. To celebrate the 5th anniversary of its renowned artist residency and the official start of the 11th Shanghai Biennale, Swatch Art Peace Hotel opened its doors to the public on November 11, 2016.

During the opening, guests had the opportunity to visit the workshops of residing artists, explore the "Traces" made by former resident artists, and discover the "Grain God Narrative" exhibition organised in partnership with Power Station of Art (PSA) and the 11th Shanghai Biennale.

All traces created through the artist residency from 2011 to the present can be seen in the new “Faces and Traces” catalogue. Published by the Swatch Group, this catalogue is available in English since 2016 and can be viewed here.
